Center for Gulf Coast Environmental Health Home

Community Engagement

The Center's community engagement initiatives facilitate collaborative research and the transfer of information between the Department of Global Environmental Health Sciences at Tulane University and community-based organizations along the Gulf Coast. We employ evidence-based approaches to guide and deliver outreach and education programs. We seek to empower and move communities toward solutions to pressing environmental health issues through leadership development and engagement with community stakeholders,

Objectives:

  1. Develop tailored strategies for disseminating and translating research findings among Gulf Coast communities.
  2. Build community capacity by providing educational and outreach opportunities.
  3. Serve as a resource for environmental health information and expertise.
